Hi, I'm David an independent advisor and user just like you. I'll do my best to help you with this.

Windows is already automatically downloading updates unless you use the Pause option shown on your screen-shot to disable it for a time. I believe this has changed recently and there's no longer the "Choose how updates are installed" option.

I've just checked a couple of my own computers - and they both show the Advanced section exactly like your screenshot - and they definitely automatically download updates!

    Regards,

    David

Hi Robert, i'm Timon and i'm glad to help you.

By default, Windows 10 automatically updates your computer.

You just need to ensure that whether or not it is happening by following the instructions given below:

    1. Go to the Start button, then Settings->Update & Security-> Windows Update.
    2. Choose “Check for Updates” if you want to check the updates manually.
    3. Next, select Advanced Options, and then under “Choose how updates are installed”, select Automatic (recommended).

Your Windows 10 will now update automatically.

Nothing … it's the default context of W10. Pro edition lets you differ updates for +/- 7 days except security features in retro compatibility context for indoor apps …
