If you have Teams on a VDI it won't update until you put in the manual work. I am searching for how a machine is identified as such to be able escape these most unwanted updates and senseless UI changes mid meeting.
How to stop Teams update
Dear Sir or Madam,
MS Teams forces an update each time I start it, even when it has just been updated. Please help me turn this feature off as it takes time I do not have.
Thank you very much for your help and kind efforts!
Best wishes,
Michael Bachmann

Teams web app updates are typically released on the 4th Monday of each month.
Desktop client updates typically start on the 4th Monday of the month and are rolled out gradually to customers throughout the remainder of the week.
The desktop client updates automatically. Teams checks for updates every few hours behind the scenes, downloads it, and then waits for the computer to be idle before silently installing the update.
Teams doesn't give admins the ability to deploy updates through any delivery mechanism.
