Hi, recently a Windows 10 popup (on right-bottom of taskbar) has appeared stating a message like "You have 5 days remaining for the trial period" with a button to 'license'.
There is no detail about what the source of this is or what product it refers to.
How do I trace the source of this popup, stop it from occurring, or to know if it is a scam?
I have tried SysInternals process explorer but cannot see anything obvious.
Would you mind take a screenshot of the message and reply to this post and paste it?
If it opens a window when you click on "license", you could select it with Process Explorer to get the .exe and its path
You can also use Autoruns to check processes launched at startup or in tasks
