How do I bypass or turn off Windows Welcome screen when I log-on to my new computer (Windows 11 Home)?

I just purchased a new desktop computer with Windows 11 Home pre-installed. Each time I log-on to my computer, I get a Welcome Screen with date and time BEFORE I get to my actual log-on screen. I don't like the Welcome Screen and would like to configure my computer to bypass or disable the Welcome Screen - and go directly to my log-on screen. Help!

Hi Bill,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There is no direct setting to disable that Lock Screen, you will need to edit the registry to remove the Lock Screen.

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.

Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on.

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows

Right click the Windows Key (folder) and choose New - Key

Name the key Personalization

Click the new Personalization key

In the right hand pane, right click and choose New - DWORD 32bit

Name it NoLockScreen

Double click NoLockScreen and set its value to 1

Close the Registry Editor and Restart Windows for the change to take effect

That's It!

I couldn't do Step 2, where you choose NEW-Key. I didn't see that option.
