    Hi,

You can carry out Disk Cleanup on the C Drive - Right click C Drive Properties - DiskCleanup - Cleanup System Files and select the downloaded files.

there is nothing to clean up unfortunately..
i looked there, and have looked throughout the drive for other files to remove.
i had 3.8gb free, and the windows update starts, it downloads a few files, and then blue screens

there are like 28 files that are the same size of 128mb, and 11 files of like 190mb files

    Hi,

In this case you need to download Treesize a freeware for home use and it will provide details of the files and folders that is using the space, you can right click and delete from that console of Treesize.

    Hi,

Okay makes sense, I will take a cautious approach to this and follow this guide from Microsoft. can-you-safely-delete-files-in-the-windirinstaller-directory

However if the files are taking up space and causing issues I would clear up recent downloaded files and try to movde data to external disk temporarily so the Windows 11 can be downloaded.

Also check these commands and article for help.

    disk cleanup and dism

    dism /online /cleanup-image
