I work for a computer store and need to create multiple Microsoft accounts a day in order to install new Office 2013 software for customers. I need to get an a exception or increase in the number of accounts I can create in a day as I often need to be able to create more than 3 Microsoft accounts in a day. How do I apply for an exception/increase on this limit?

Thanks

    Hi Adrian,

The limit creation of Microsoft Accounts is designed to deter hackers from creating multiple email addresses and use it for 'spam', or to 'reserve' names that aren't going to be used at all. Currently, there is a creation limit of 3 Microsoft Accounts, per Day, per IP Address.

If you want to file a request for a specific IP addresses to be whitelisted from this creation limit, you can submit it here. Prepare some info about your computer store at hand so that your request gets approved.

    Hope this helps.

Lately when creating Microsoft Accounts to be able to install Office 2016 on clients computers it asks for a phone number to send a code to confirm a human is creating the account. It often says "usage limit exceeded try again tomorrow" even if it's the first request I've submitted for the day. Is there a way to get my phone # white-listed for this so this doesn't happen? Is there a way to do this that doesn't require a smartphone? What happens if someone doesn't have access to a smartphone?

    Thanks
