Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community

As per checking the shared information that you're experiencing issues with PowerPoint. Just a heads up that with this kind of issue that you have, our option is limited and we can only perform basic troubleshooting steps.

Allow me to ask some questions for me to better understand your issue.

    • May I know what version and edition of Office installed in your computer?
      • You can open any Office apps
      • Go to File > Accounts - on the right side you can see Product Information
    • May I know how do you access your PowerPoint? Is it by going to PowerPoint Online ? Or opening it through PowerPoint application (Included in Microsoft 365 License)?

I understand this issue with PowerPoint. Unknown Error 35010 is a generic error message that can occur for a variety of reasons. However, it's possible that the issue is related to a corrupt file or a conflict with a third-party add-in.

To troubleshoot this issue, I recommend trying the following steps:

    1. Update PowerPoint to the latest version: Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
    2. Disable third-party add-ins: Go to File > Options > Add-ins > Manage: COM Add-ins > Go. Uncheck any add-ins that are not from Microsoft, then click OK.
    3. Repair Office: At the bottom left corner right click the Start menu, then select Installed Application. Find the Microsoft 365 and then right click then click on Modify. Select Quick Repair.
    4. Try opening the file in Safe Mode: Hold down the Ctrl key while opening PowerPoint, then select "Safe Mode" when prompted.

Please send us a reply if there are any confusions or clarifications to our description. I hope this helps!

    Thank you

    Hello, John,

Thank you for your reply. I have Version 2311 / MS 365 and Office Updates. I access PowerPoint through the application.

I get this error message all the time no matter what file I'm in. Just this morning, PPT has crashed five times. It's getting to the point where I no longer use lines and instead use thin shapes to substitute as lines.

I believe I have the latest version, and use several add-ins in my workflow, which I would rather not disable. Is there an alternative to this?

    Many thanks,

    Kerry

You're experiencing a problem with your installation. It's not a bug in the program and can't be fixed by Microsoft.

First, try an Office repair. Here are the steps for Windows 11: Repair an Office application
