what is Universal Outlook

in my Outlook.com account under mobile devices in the settings folders it says UniversalOutlook, what is it and do I need to have it selected.

Hi! My name is Ben a fellow member here in the community and hope you are doing well!

Can you tell us what application you are using to access your Outlook.com email? Based on the message "UniversalOutlook" this commonly appears if you have setup your account on the Windows mail application of Windows 10/11 device. It will show as UniversalOutlook and some sort of code like 07BE etc.
