Managing media playback issues and settings in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I use this browser as my daily driver. Unfortunately, it no longer works when trying to watch Amazon Prime Video through this browser. I've moved to Firefox for playing videos on Amazon's site instead.
The problem is that there is no picture - you either get a spinning circle (loading symbol) and a black background, or you get audio and no picture, just a black background.
All software is up to date. I'm not sure why this started happening. Seems to be an issue with any version of Edge i've tried.

This all stems from Windows 11 Home 24H2 update build 26100.2454. My laptop with 23H2 works just fine. Had NO problem until I updated on my desktop computer to 24H2. Every streaming service says this browser can NOT play video. Thought it might be just Edge, but it makes no difference what browser I use the results are the same. Microsoft just doesn't want to admit they screwed up again.
Tried this and a whole lot of other things but nothing works. This is my desktop computer which changed to 24H2. My laptop still has 23H2 and it works fine. I don't use apps or add-ons. Thanks for trying to help.
I can say this, I was having the same issue and disabling graphics acceleration worked.

Go to the Settings page
Click the three-dot menu icon in the upper right corner (...) in the upper right corner.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
In the Settings menu on the left, select “System and Performance”.
On the System and Performance page, find the option to “Use hardware acceleration (if available)”.
Turn the switch off.
You can try using Privacy Mode to see if it works.

Make sure the browser's Digital Rights Management (DRM) settings are enabled.

net user USERNAME PASSWORD /add
After the command runs successfully, enter the following command
net localgroup administrators USERNAME /add

I look forward to your feedback, which will help me pinpoint your problem.
