Windows Update problem, getting error code 80072F8F

I get an error message when Windows try's to update. the error is: window could not search for new updates  error code 80072F8F what can I do to correct this

  1. Were there any changes made to the computer prior the issue?
  2. What is the exact error message that you get when you visit websites?

    0x80072F8F ERROR_INTERNET_SECURE_FAILURE   ErrorClockWrong One or more errors were found in the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate sent by the server.

    Check your system date and time is correct.

    What internet browser are you using when trying to update?

    Cləar out your Temporary files

    Cləan up the system (cləaring out all the temp/tmp folders, and included all offline content, cləaring the browser tif, delete cookies.

    The basic (Slim) build does not contain the disgusted Toolbar

    DO NOT USE ANY Advanced cləaning options. DO NOT TOUCH THE REGISTRY. At ləast not for now.

    Reboot

    Please click the clock icon in the lower right corner of your desktop and follow the wizard to set your Time Zone properly.

    Also, check what Internet Time server you are using for synchronization. - changed it - to time-a.nist.gov or time.windows.com

    Reboot

    Please confirm your system clock, and Time Zone also the Date/Yearare set properly,

    Having it set incorrectly can cause this type of behaviºr.

    This Issue is the simple case of not updating the date and time settings!!

    Try changing that and check!! This works for most of the people!!
