Microsoft 365 stock images license question

I did read this post to understand the MS365 licensing on stock images, but found it a bit unclear:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/topic/what-am-i-allowed-to-use-premium-creative-content-for-0de69c76-ff2b-473e-b715-4d245e39e895

I want to use Powerpoint to create images for Facebook posts using a combination of stock images in Powerpoint and text overlay. I then export it into e.g. PNG format and use on Facebook.

The article says that you can: "Export these files to other formats such as PDF and ODF".

But on the other hand it also says that you should not "Use Save As to save the premium creative content as separate image files to be used outside of Office."

How should this be interpreted? If I e.g. create a image combining stock images and text overlay and Export as PNG - am I allowed to use this on Facebook? Is the intention not to use the "raw stock image" in other apps - but if you create a document in e.g. Powerpoint that includes the stock image you can export it as an image and use in an other context?

    Hi Ziggy

I'm Anna, and I'd be happy to help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

According to the article you pointed out, you cannot save the creative content to be used outside of Office apps. However, you can use this creative content within an Office app, and save them in other formats which can be used on other platforms.

So this statement is right, Yes you can

"If I e.g. create an image combining stock images and text overlay and Export it as PNG - am I allowed to use this on Facebook"

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    Anna
