I recently tried to open a .cur file with paint to see if it could edit the file, but it set paint as the default app and now it no longer previews the cursor image. I'd like to return the preview image so please help.

Hi, download the cur file association registry fix from Tenforums. Double click on cur.reg and allow it to merge with the registry, then sign out/in of your account for the change to take effect.

note: If you are downloading the file with Edge, smartscreen will initially block it. Select Keep.
