    Hi Family,

I’m Independent Advisor willing to help you, please follow the steps below.

    1. Restore settings to their original defaults. On chrome click on the three little dots on the top right at the corner, click on settings, scroll down, click on advanced, click on reset settings
    2. perform a clean clean boot in Windows

    From Start, search for msconfig.

Select System Configuration from the search results.

On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all.

Restart the machine, if you see improvement, enable one by one until you find the program causing the issue.

Can you try turning off hardware acceleration in Chrome to see if it makes a difference?

    Open Google Chrome.

Click Customize and Control Google Chrome > Settings.

Click on Show advanced settings and scroll to the System section.

Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available and restart Google Chrome.

Hi Family. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP here to help you.

Run this Flash tool in all browsers to make sure it's current and enabled:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

Try and compare in another browser. I would have several browsers on your task bar so there's always one that's best for the task. I use Firefox, Edge and Chrome in that order of preference. It's easy to share bookmarks between all of them in their settings under Import Favorites from another Browser, and Firefox and Chrome let you sign in to sync your Favorites on any other device you sign into. Set the preferred browser as Default in Settings > Apps > Default Apps.

    Try resetting Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/329621...

    https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-reset-google-ch...

Try uninstalling Chrome in Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, restart PC and then reinstall from a new download only: https://www.google.com/chrome/

If all of these fail go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

Update your drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page, using the full model number, Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker. Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page.

If nothing else helps you can run a Repair Install by installing the Media Creation Tool and choosing from it to Upgrade Now. This reinstalls Windows in about an hour while saving your files, apps and most settings, solves many problems while also bringing it up to the latest version 1809 which you need anyway and by the most stable method. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you'll wait to rate whether my post helped you, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

unchecking hardware acceleration solves the issue, but then cpu usages are higher and temperatures are hotter compared to when hardware acceleration is on.

unchecking hardware acceleration also causes other applications to have less available cpu for them to use, i would prefer not to turn off hardware acceleration,

any other solutions to this issue?
