    Hello,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question. As I understand, you’re unable to download the trial version of Office 2010, as it quits half-way through the download. Let me help you out here.

I have a few questions for you:

    1.       From where exactly are you trying to download Office 2010?

    2.       Which web browser do you use? (Internet Explorer/Chrome/Firefox)

    3.       Are you using a wireless internet connection?

    4.       Do you get any error message when the download fails/stops?

Ensure that you download the Office 2010 trial from the Microsoft link given below. Use the ‘Save’ or ‘Save As’ option to save the setup file onto the computer, and then run the setup (.exe) from the saved location.

If you use a wireless internet connection, try switching to a wired connection (if available), and then check if the Office 2010 trial download completes without being interrupted.

Also make sure that you have Internet Explorer (IE) set as the default web browser, and use IE to download Office 2010. Refer the link for more information:

Hope this helps. Let us know the status and provide us the additional details if the issue persists. Thank you.

I did all of the things listed above, but got the same error,  It says that it is a script error, not sure what that means, but the software did not download again.

Is there anything else I can try?

Script errors are usually an issue with the web browser. Reset IE to default settings and then try to download office again.

If that doesn’t help, then try a different browser… (firefox/chrome)….

This is all BS.  Microsoft want's to sell 2013 and 369 (or whatever) and they are blocking any path to 2010.

Yea I agree unfortunately now days it's all about money, they want to charge us out the rear and make it to where we can't even get the old stuff even if we were to pay because it's cheaper than the new. Then they take our hard earned money and go overseas and pay what we pay for one but get hundreds if not thousands of copies or whatever made. f@#* bill Gates and all of these other companies who are moving overseas. I don't know why we don't get rid of the president and sell the U.S to china It's inevitable, we might as well be the United States of China, which yes is bs.
