I have to Sign-in every time

Ever since I RESET Microsoft Edge, it forces me to sign in every single time I log onto a website such as Facebook. It forces me to sign in even though I click the "save my password" each time. How can this be fixed?

Could you have opted to Clear browsing data on close? If you remove cookies for a site, it will forget your log-in data.

To check this, click  (Settings and more) > Settings > Privacy, search and services > Choose what to clear every time you close the browser. If any of the options on that page are turned On, turn them Off, and then see whether Facebook retains your login data.

You can also check  (Settings and more) > Settings > Cookies and site permissions > All sites to see whether you have changed any specific permissions for the sites you're having trouble with.

My Microsoft Edge settings were up to date, so that was not the problem.

The sign in problem in having to keep typing my password with every single log in is only on Facebook.com and Pogo.com

I do remember, after doing the reset, adding FB and Pogo to something and I believe this has caused the issue.  I have checked under settings and privacy and all looks well there.   Do you know exactly where I could have added these two sites that would cause this problem?  Thanks -

    Hi Sey12 -

Thanks for the response and I do apologize if the method did not resolve the issue.

Kindly try to update the Edge browser and check if it helps

    Open the Edge browser

Click on the three dots (…) on the upper right corner of edge browser

    Select Settings

On the left pane menu, click on About Microsoft Edge

Edge browser will automatically check for updates

Wait for Edge to complete the checking for update and install the update

Restart the browser and check if the same issue appears

If the same issue appears, kindly try to create a new user profile and check if Microsoft Edge works fine on the new user. This will help determine if the issue is profile specific.

To create new user profile, please follow the steps below

    1. Open the Settings by pressing the Windows Key + I
    2. Click on Accounts
    3. In the left pane menu, click on Family & Other Users
    4. Under other users, click on add someone else on this PC
    5. By default, it will going to ask you to sign in using a Microsoft account, click on the link below which says I don't have this person's sign in information
    6. Click on Add a user without Microsoft account
    7. Fill out a username and click next until completion.

Sign out to the current user and sign in on the new user profile.

Check if everything works fine on the new user.

    Regards,

    Kevin B.
