Apparently all you have to do is Go to the OneDrive website & then to Settings > Advanced and turn on the Upload Most Compatible feature on OneDrive.
Your HEIC photos will be converted to JPG without using any HEIC to JPG converter.
This browser is no longer supported.

Windows 10 Pro Build 18362
I've seen articles describing a Setting in OneDrive for HEIC to JPG conversion.
And I've also seen articles that indicate OneDrive does the conversion automatically.
Wanted to ask here to get a definitive answer:
Does OneDrive automatically convert HEIC to jpg? Or is there a Setting?
Or another question I should be asking?
Thanks for any help or advice!

Hi, Time Lady!
When I go to Settings on the OneDrive website I don't find an Advanced option.
Here is what I get:
fwiw, there is also no Advanced under Options.
I'm using Chrome as my browser to access the website.
Can you tell me your configuration and path so I can get to that Setting?
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Try Edge. If no luck then the feature may have been removed.
No luck with Edge.
It feels like we are both trying to determine which articles are correct.
And exactly how OneDrive processes HEIC files.
Contacted OneDrive Support.
They responded that there is no automatic conversion of HEIC’s to JPG’s.
There is a Setting in iOS OneDrive for Camera Upload that determines
if the Camera Roll should be jpg or heic.
This all seems correct to me.
