Using Microsoft Word Offline

Is there a way to use Microsoft Word offline on an android without connecting to the internet with each use? A previous post indicated the user must first connect to the internet before opening a document in order to create and edit documents offline.  Is there a way to download and use the Microsoft Word App (for android) and use the software and safe locally without connecting to the internet for each use? I currently have a subscription to office 365 thanks.

    Hello Chris

I am V. Arya, Independent Advisor, to work with you on this issue. You don't require internet to start Word. Word will work perfectly allright without internet.

Now there are two scenarios -

    1. You store documents locally - Either on SD card or on phone's internal storage - In this case, no internet will be required.
    2. Your store documents on Onedrive or to another cloud service provider - Internet will be required

Note - Internet may be required to validate your license. On PC, the frequency is once in 39 days. On Android, this frequency of checking license is not documented.
