I am having problems with my wireless connection and troubelshoot tells me that I have a problem with the wireless adapter or access point. What can I do, as the internet is not the problem. Does this have something to do with my PC setting?

I also had this problem when I purchased a brand new Acer Aspire V5 Touchscreen.

About every 5-10 minutes I lose wireless adaptivity. When I troubleshoot, I get the error, Problem with Wireless Adapter or Access Point. But then it says it is fixed. But it keeps happening.

I am not sure what happened but I either updated or removed something within the past couple of months and it stopped happening.

Yesterday I had to refresh my computer and without knowing, it completely reset my computer back to factory resets and now it is happening again.

I have already tried to reset the adapter, update the adapter, update EVERYTHING I possibly could on the laptop, refresh everything and it still keeps happening.

I work from home and this is stopping me from working.

I get the exact same problem. I have an HP Spectre. It appears that this is a Windows 8 problem as my other laptops that run on Windows 7 do not have this issue. This is very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you checked Windows Update for any optional driver updates?  They are not installed automatically, so it might be waiting for your approval.

1 - Press Windows-X and choose Control Panel from the shortcut menu.

2 - Go to the System section, then choose Windows Update

3 - Click Check for Updates, and install all it finds.

4 - Reboot and repeat until not more updates are available.
