Hello,

I have a Logitech K380 keyboard connected to my laptop (Dell XPS 9560), I used my keyboard on another device and needed to re-pair the keyboard back to my laptop.

I cannot remove the keyboard from my Bluetooth devices in order to re-pair it again.

I have tried to following to remove it:

  • Remove device in the Bluetooth settings.
  • Uninstall device in device manager
  • Remove device in Devices and Printers
  • Uninstall Bluetooth adapter and reinstall
  • I tried all the above in safe mode also

Anything I do doesn't work, the keyboard just reappears after refreshing the device list.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Klip,

    Thank you for your response.

In this case, please follow the steps mentioned below to delete Bluetooth device manually from Registry.

Disclaimer: The registry is a database in Windows that contains important information about system hardware, installed programs and settings, and profiles of each of the user accounts on the computer. Windows often reads and updates the information in the registry. Normally, software programs make registry changes automatically. You should not make unnecessary changes to the registry. Changing registry files incorrectly can cause Windows to stop working or make Windows report the wrong information.

Please refer to How to back up and restore the registry in Windows and take back up of Registry

    1. Press Windows key + R.
    2. Type service.msc and press Enter
    3. Right click on Bluetooth service and click stop.
    4. Press Windows key + R again and type regedit, press Enter.
    5. Then navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\BTHENUM and BTH
    6. Check if the Bluetooth keyboard is listed on the right pane, if yes, right click on the same and select Delete.
    7. If you are facing difficulties with the permission, right on the key and select Permission.
    8. Click on Add > Select a Principal (Link).
    9. Type Everyone in the text box and click on Check name.
    10. Click OK and try deleting the key.
    11. Then start the Bluetooth service.

    Hope it helps.
