    it made by Microsoft thus why i'm here

    sorry i didn't add that its a model 1384, that was on the back.

    the back also says made in China.

    Almost surely not.  Recievers and mice come paired on different frequencies, otherwise in a room full of people one mouse would rule them all.  :-)  You might get lucky but it's not likely.

    Hello Mr Monahan.

    I do not think it is possible to use the reciever with another mouse. I heard of a general reciever made by Logitech but I am not sure if it works with Microsoft.

    On the other hand, I have a Microsoft Mobile 4000 mouse with a broken Model 1384 reciever. I do happily accept your model 1384 reciever if u still have it and do not need it. :)
