Only APA and MLA as my sources

I recently saw another thread about this same issue that many others seemed to have. I only have APA and MLA as my sources when all I want is Harvard.

I tried 'repairing' the app. This hasnt worked.

Ive checked the folders and they contain 12 styles of referencing. Yet the programme only contains 2.

Im at my wits end. How can a programme be so much more complicated to use now than its predecessors? Paying such a significant amount for a subscription and I cant even use harvard referencing. Ive searched online endlessly for answers and tried all the fixes but to no avail. Can anyone PLEASE finally help me fix this issue?

    Hello there,

Thanks for reaching out here regarding this query.

Please, can you mention which Microsoft Office subscription your Word app is attached to? Did you make an upgrade.

Did you previously have more than APA and MLA with your initial subscription?

I will be able to use the relevant feedback information you provide to better see how I can help you with the experience you're having. Thank you!

    Warm regards, Albert

It's attached to a Microsoft 365 personal subscription.

I've never needed to check the sources before today but I've checked the root files etc that has been mentioned in other threads and I can see 12 other files for sources.

The Harvard style I have is Harvard - Anglia 2008.

This is in Word 365, Version 2210, Current Channel.

The APA 7 shown is from a third party. APA 7th edition (Word)

Note that most if not all of these are out-of-date. Microsoft has not been diligent in updating these.

With that as a background, what happens if you start Word in safe mode?

If I open it in safe mode its still the same. I guess the bibliography files in office are just useless then? What a faff having to manually enter these references.

No, the Harvard - Anglia (2008) should be there. I was just pointing out that it may not be all that useful.

Try repairing your Office Installation. An online repair will take more than 30 minutes, but you do not have to babysit your computer while it goes on.
