I've used OneDrive for many years now. A month or so ago, a friend opened a Onedrive account using a referral link I sent him. However, neither of us has had the 0.5GB bonus that was supposed to be earned by doing this. I successfully earned a bonus a few years ago when another friend used a referral of mine, so I know the system used to work. The OneDrive pages still say that bonuses can be earned on my account, so I don't think the offer has been withdrawn.
I raised a support ticket with MS about this, but the only response I've had is a "Please tell us about your recent Microsoft support experience" feedback email.
Does anyone know if the referral bonus scheme still works?
If it's been quietly mothballed, then MS should amend the Onedrive pages to reflect this.

Thanks for the info. I thought this might be the case.
Note: It wasn't pre-installed, but it is a free version of OneDrive.
If MS have removed this, they need to clarify this on their OneDrive pages.
Hello Bassthang,
I am Jaspreet Singh.
Microsoft has withdrawn the offer for devices that have onedrive app pre-installed in them. If your friend redeemed your link on such a device you won't get the bonus
