I have tried many times to install MS Teams, and I keep ending up at the same place. Typing n my email, then nothing...

I had Teams working before, but my PC was having other issues. I used the fresh start function to reinstall windows, and since then this issue has plagued me. I am fully up to date on all updates to windows. Attached is the image of the screen I get. I have verified and re-verified that I am typing in my address corectly, not that it matters as the same result happens if I type in the wrong one.

    Hi FizixMaster,

Thank you for the posting in our forum community.

Regarding your above mentioned description, kindly try to resolve the issue from below suggestion, if it can work for resolving your issue.

    1. Kindly try to resolve the issue from clear cache of MS Teams, if it can work for your issue. Following are the steps for clearing cache of MS Teams.

    • Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client. To do this, either right click Teams from the Icon Tray and select ‘Quit’, or run Task Manager and fully kill the process.

    • Go to File Explorer, and type in %appdata%\Microsoft\teams

    • Once in the directory, you’ll see a few of the following folders:

    -         From ‘Application Cache’, go to Cache and delete any of the files in the Cache location. “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\application cache\cache”

    -         From ‘Blob_storage’, delete any files that are located in here if any. “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage”

    -         Within ‘Cache’, delete all files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache”

    -         Within ‘databases’, delete all files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\databases”

    -         Within ‘GPUCache’, delete all files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\GPUcache”

    -         Within ‘IndexedDB’, delete the .db file “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\IndexedDB”

    -         Within ‘Local Storage’, delete all files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage”

    -         Lastly, from ‘tmp’, delete any file “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\tmp”

Once finally done clearing, you can now restart Teams from your local desktop and check if the issue disappears.

    2. Also, if the issue still persist, kindly try to clear all the MS Team credentials from the Credentials Manager from Control Panel.

For clearing credentials > go to Control Panel > select User Accounts option > select Windows Credentials option > remove all MS Team credentials and check that if the issue disappears or not.

    3. Meanwhile, kindly try to log in your MS Teams credentials from the other machine (PC) and try to identify that if the issue is with specific machine side issue.

On the other hand, if the issue still persist, I need to collect below information from your side for further analysis.

    1. Kindly provide us your detailed screenshot of the MS Teams desktop client version from your side.

    2. Does this issue has happened with other users in the organization?

    3. May I please confirm that “whether you can log in to MS Teams web client”?

    4. Could you please provide us your affected email address from your side via private message?

Kindly provide us above email address detail via this private message link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/privatemessage/inbox. For your privacy, we will send you private message for collecting it.

    Regards,

    Darpan
