I was using the computer designing something, then a weird sound happened. When I press the control key and the touchpad at the same time, it made a ka-ching or a printer sound after the process is done and printer prints like sound. What is going on?

    Hi Marco Mahone,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

There could be several reasons why your computer is making strange sounds. Here are a few possibilities:

    • Hardware problem: It's possible that there is a problem with the hardware in your computer, such as a malfunctioning fan, hard drive, or power supply. These components can sometimes make strange noises when they're not working properly.
    • Software issue: Sometimes, software programs can cause your computer to make strange sounds. For example, if you have an app or program that's set to make a sound when a task is completed, it could be causing the sound you're hearing.
    • Peripheral devices: If you have any external devices connected to your computer, such as a printer, scanner, or external hard drive, they could be causing the sound you're hearing.

In your specific case, it sounds like the sound might be related to a software program or a peripheral device. If you were using a design program, it's possible that the program has a sound effect set up to play when a task is completed. Similarly, if you have a printer connected to your computer, it could be making the printer-like sound when it finishes a print job.

To troubleshoot the issue, try disconnecting any external devices you have connected to your computer and see if the sound persists.

    • If it does, try closing any open programs or apps and see if the sound stops.
    • If the sound continues, it could be a hardware problem, and you may want to consider taking your computer to a professional for repair.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,
