Windows Sonic - it is awful and I want to remove it. How?

A lot of us that uses Dolby Atmos for Headphones have an issue where Windows Sonic (why does this exist? it sounds awful) will automatically be set as the spatial surround sound default when we restart/ turn on our dac or bluetooth headphones.

So far everyone at Microsoft has said to just change the spatial setting in sounds options and off you go... no, that doesn't work, when say, you open a program or game and as it's loaded in this Sonic setting, once changing to Atmos - you have to restart the program/game to get sound to work at all. This is extremely counterproductive and a simple "turn off completely" OR "set as default" option on each spatial choice would improve everyone's stress levels.

Is there perhaps a registry setting that can disable Windows Sonic for Headphones? perhaps a program that lets us delete it (although I'm sure the next windows update will bring it back from the dark depths from where it belongs)

Please guys, hear us out, there's countless of questions about this and it's always the same copy and paste answers and when challenged on the idiocrasy of this particular setting, you lock the forum and we just have to go along with it. Don't forget, we pay you so please support us and let's get this fixed!

thanks :)

I am annoyed by this "bug". I´ve tried some info found in forums: edit registry (only affects boot), command lines, disabling Nvidia Audio, HD Audio, reinstaling realtek drivers, reinstalling Dolby Atmos, etc. but nothing seems to fix it. Every time I enter a game, it swaps from spatial sound "off" or "Dolby Atmos for Headphones" to "Windows Sonic for Headphones" which sound just awful. Any fix for this?
