I am assuming that you are using the Windows desktop version of Word. If not, please indicate.
Try, as an experiment,
- selecting all in your document (Ctrl+A),
- creating a new document,
- and pasting as plain text in the new document.
What happens?
There are a number of ways to hide text in Word.
Make a copy of your document.
In the copy, try selecting all text (Ctrl+A) and pressing Ctrl+Spacebar.
What happens?
If you print to pdf, what do you see?
