Surface Pro 4 Fan

Hi, I have a quick question.

On the surface pro, there are air vents around the top of the tablet to let air come out when the device heats.

When my device heats and begins to cause a whirring noise, how come wind/air only comes out the holes on the top left corner, near the power and volume button?

There are holes all around the top of the tablet but how come the wind only comes out the top left?

That is my question. Thank You.

    Nathan,

The fan is actually located there.

Have a look at the internals on iFixit:

    https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Microsoft+Surface+Pro+4+Teardown/51568

Please note that the model on which they did the autopsy is the m3, which has no fan. Meanwhile you can still see the proper fan placement.
