Error checking USB stuck

I recently plugged in my Verbatim 64 gb usb, and then a notification showed up saying there's something wrong with the usb like an error, and needs to be fixed, so i started the error fixing process, but once it completes it got stuck there without saying the usual error fixed and usb ready to use thingy, its been 35 minutes now and still no luck. What should I do?

    Hi Eowyn

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

Can you connect it to another working computer to see if it works or not?

I would also try formatting it through Disk Part, see steps:

Use ExFAT as the file system.

Hi Andre, yeah it works when I plug it to another computer, but error was still there, so now I'm using the "chkdsk" fix and now it starts to fix corrupted areas  on my USB

I am waiting for it to complete, hopefully it gets fixed.

Great news, my USB is back and working great,

"Chkdsk" is now my number one tool to fix errors on my usb, took 2 hrs for it to complete and displayed the results at the end, there was a lot of errors corrected because i was trying to delete a large file of 5 gb on this USB and then the power went off all of sudden and that's what caused it to go bad.

Overall i think I'd recommend "chkdsk" to fix errors on a USB.
