windows media player won't play wmv files. I get audio only but no video.

    Hello PamKlingensmith, I am Andrew, an independent advisor. What you are describing sounds like a codec issue. You need to download one to play the file properly.

    In Windows Media Player click on Tools menu then Options.

    Find the Player tab, then select DOWNLOAD CODECS AUTOMATICALLY.

    Try the file again, it should ask you to download the proper codec to read the content. Click YES.
