Hi,
I'm Sneha and I'd be happy to help you out with your question. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
To ensure that your CSV files open correctly by default, you can follow these steps:
- Open Excel and go to the "Data" tab.
- Look for the "Get & Transform Data" section and click on "From Text/CSV".
- In the "Import Data" dialog box, navigate to the location of your CSV file and select it.
- In the "Text Import Wizard" dialog box, select "Delimited" and click "Next".
- Choose the delimiter that your CSV file uses (usually a comma or semicolon) and click "Next".
- Make sure that all the columns in your CSV file are highlighted in the preview section and click "Next".
- Choose the appropriate data format for each column (General, Text, Date, etc.) and click "Finish".
After following these steps, Excel should now open your CSV files correctly by default. However, if you still encounter issues with certain CSV files, you may need to check that the delimiter is consistent throughout the file, that the file does not contain any hidden characters or leading/trailing spaces, and that the encoding is set correctly.
