Large mouse pointer covers mouse-over text

I have a large mouse pointer, but it covers the first word(s) of mouse-over and hover text. How can I move that text down or over to the right a bit? And why doesn't Windows take care of this for me?

Thanks for your reply. It's not what I need, though. I like my large mouse pointer, but when I mouse over things and the tiny text appears ("tool tips", I think they're called -- information about the option or graphic), the first word or two is covered by the mouse. When I chose the larger mouse, Windows should have adjusted the placement of that text. I'm hoping there is a way for me to do that. I read the xkcd.com comic regularly, and the comic's hover text is a good example of what I'm talking about.

    Hi Becky Ferguson,

I tried the situation you mentioned, and found that when I was using "Windows Default (extra large) (system scheme)", the little pop-up window of the prompt was as shown in the figure below, and I did not find the phenomenon that the characters you described were covered.

In addition, have you tried the little pop-up window of the system interface, because it cannot be ruled out that it is caused by the problem of the website itself, or try different browsers.

So it is recommended that you try to update your graphics card driver. It is recommend you go to the official website of your device manufacturer to download the corresponding model driver, and then install it manually. After the driver installation is complete, it is recommended that you check if the device works properly, and then restart to check again.

In addition, you can try to create a new test account, because this cannot be ruled out because the account configuration is wrong. You can visit **** Create a local user or administrator account in Windows (microsoft.com) **** for more details. Then switch to log in to the newly created account to see if the function is available normally.

    Hi Becky Ferguson,

Looking forward to your repair results, if it still doesn't work, I will give the specific steps of override system. Please rest assured that override system will theoretically not affect your data and applications, just update all the system files are the latest.

If overwriting the system doesn't work, it can only be solved by resetting/reinstall the system.

If you found the suggestions in the above reply helpful, you can rate the reply as "Helpful" to help others with the same problem.

    Hi Becky Ferguson,

Welcome to post in Microsoft Community. I'm Mosken, let me help you figure it out.

According to your description, I knew that your mouse pointer is so large that it's obscuring your text, and you want to get it back to normal. Is that right?

First of all, what is your specific use case? Please describe your usage scenario in detail, or take a screenshot of it, and only send the relevant information to me in the next reply, so as to solve the problem faster and better.

Then it is recommended that you try to modify the system mouse settings. Win + R to open "Run", type "main.cpl", press Enter to open mouse system settings, switch to the tab "Pointers" and suggest you select "Windows Default (system)" under "Scheme". Then switch to the "Pointer Options" tab, then tick "Hide pointer while typing" in "Visibility", then "OK" to save the settings.

The above steps are provided based on the information I have learned so far, I wish that will be helpful to you. If your problem still cannot be solved by these steps, you could tell me the specific situation in the next reply. I will continue to assist you in solving the problem.

    Best Regards,
