Will Word be compatible on my Mac Book with the new Ventura Operating System?

I just updated to Ventura 13.2 - I'm having a very hard time w Word on my iMac. I spent over 2 hours, maybe 3 hs with a MS tech I think. Took Word off my iMac and reinstalled. Still have same problem. All my documents and even the "blank" doc and other templates open with every paragraph in a separate box.

I have tried every thing I can think of to get rid of those text boxes. But I am a clod when it comes to this stuff.

My cursor looks like capital I with little horizontal lines to the right of it..

Trying to load some screen shots of my issue with no luck now.

Microsoft 365 and Office | Word | Other | MacOS

    Go to Word> Preferences - View then clear the check on Text Boundaries.
