Importing photos from iphone to desktop

I'm trying to get my photos off my iphone (I don't use cloud storage) and onto my PC desktop so that I can save them to a separate hard drive. I get as far as seeing them in the Microsoft photos app screen but when I click the import/add button, it only imports one photo. I tried doing a few at a time and it still won't import. I've spoken to Apple and they say I have to add itunes to my PC but I can't see why that would make a difference. Can anyone help me please?

    Hello

I am Abdal and I would be glad to help you with your question.

To import photos from your iPhone to your PC , follow these steps:

    1. Connect your iPhone to your PC using a USB cable capable of transferring files. Ensure that your iPhone is turned on and unlocked.
    2. On your PC, click on the Start button, and then open the Photos app to proceed.
    3. Inside the Photos app, click on the Import option, followed by selecting "From a USB device."
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions provided to complete the import process.

If you encounter any difficulties, you can alternatively use File Explorer to import your photos. Here's how:

    1. Connect your iPhone to your PC using a USB cable and ensure that it is unlocked. When prompted, tap on "Allow" or "Trust" on your iPhone.
    2. On your PC, launch File Explorer.
    3. In the sidebar of File Explorer, locate and select "Apple iPhone."

By following these steps, you can import photos from your iPhone to your PC using either the Photos app or File Explorer.

Hi. I'm Brian. Installing iTunes would allow you to import your photos to the PC. However, you should also be able to use OneDrive (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-onedrive/id477537958), which will automatically upload your photos to OneDrive and sync it to your PC.
