Microsoft forcing using new outlook instead of the old and good email app

I've been using the windows email app since Windows 10, and now I'm being forced to use the new Outlook app, which is a bad product. I've tried everything to activate the old email app again, but it forces me to install the new outlook from Microsoft store. I'm talking about the free version, not the Office 365 version.

The new outlook have SMTP problems every time, and can only store 3 months of emails. I mean, why? Why downgrade mail functionality in windows? In the old windows email app, I could download to local storage my lifetime inbox, and with this new outlook, I only can store 3 months.

I need a guide of how to deactivate the new Outlook email, and reactive the old email app from Windows 10 and 11.

    >> The new outlook have SMTP problems every time, and can only store 3 months of emails.

Who is your mail host? What type of account is it (POP/IMAP)? I'm using Outlook (new) with Exchange mailbox hosted on 365 cloud (no SMTP, POP/IMAP). I can see everything in my mailbox.

Outlook (new) isn't that bad. It's just an UNFINISHED product and may be full of bugs. It is wrong to release/force users to use it. They should pay beta testers to use the unfinished product. I guess this is the new way of releasing new software... the users are the beta testers (copying CrowdStrike's policy).

    Hello,

Check the settings and the layout or click on three dots on the top right side then customize to fix it.
