Bluetooth Headset not working with teams.

I have a pair of Bluetooth Skullcandy Hesh 3 Headphones, and they have 2 connections with my laptop.

1)Hesh 3 Stereo

2)Hesh 3 Hands-Free AG Audio

When I use Hands free AG Audio, there is some static disturbance. When watching videos, stereo option gives great sound quality but for some reason it doesn't give any sound during a meeting in teams. In device settings during a meeting, once I choose Hesh 3 Stereo, the voice just stops.

    Hello Hussein

I am V. Arya, Independent Advisor, to work with you on this issue.

    1. Open Teams app - Click your picture on top right - Settings - Permissions - Media permission should be ON.

Also in Devices - Check for Audio Devices - By default, it is properly selected. If not, select it properly. Not having the right microphone / speaker selected is a major cause of this issue.

    1. If above doesn't work, assuming this is Windows 10 (if any other OS, let me know)

Press Windows key, hold it and press i

    Privacy - Microphone

Allow apps to access your Microphone - Should be ON

Choose which Store apps can access your Microphone and Allow desktop apps to access your Microphone - Teams should be ON wherever it appears

    1. Try from Web Teams using Edge or Chrome browser and let me know whether it works or not. This will help me to diagnose where is the issue - https://teams.microsoft.com/

Please update me with the result. If above doesn't work, I will provide other steps.

So I tried all the steps you mentioned, but none of them worked. As soon as I switch to Hesh 3 Stereo, the voice just stops.

Even in browser the same issue persists.

This is the setting when i can't hear anyone speaking....

    (I use Windows 10)

    I have the same issue.

I can see the device in Windows 10 as a bluetooth device but I don't see it in Teams as a choice.  Is there somewhere else that the settings need to be changed?  I'm using Teams on a laptop.

    This worked for me...

    1. Unpair headset
    2. Right-click start menu and open Device Manager
    3. Expand Bluetooth
    4. Right-click Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator and disable. It will give you a warning about devices not working. Unless you have devices that require Bluetooth low energy, it will be okay. Leave the other one (without LE) enabled.
    5. Pair your headset
    6. Enjoy

I have the same issues on my mac (10.15.6)

Until two weeks ago my bluetooth headset (sony WX-1000XM3) works fine with Teams, but now they do not works any more.

Headset works with other applications until I try to make a call with teams or other applications (even a test call), then they stop works also with other applications.

So I suppose that the issue is related to the use of the headset microphone.

I've tried many time un unpair / pair headset, system reboot, SMC reset, etc.

All media permissions are on in teams settings.

Privacy settings for microphone on my mac are all on.

I got same results also with Apple Airpods.

    UPDATE: September 2020.

Starting from the end of August all issues related to bluetooth headsets disappeared.

All my headsets (sony and apple) are working and I'm able to switch between headsets and my Mac microphone and speakers.

...but now, every time I start a Teams conference my Apple Magic Mouse stop working.

It disconnect from my Mac when the teams call begin, no way to connect it again during the Teams Call.

When the call is closed, after a few second the mouse reconnect.

    I'm going crazy...
