Black rectangle in the corner of my screen

Ok, so I don't have an image of it sadly(idk why my screenshot won't load but that's not the issue). Whenever my computer unplugs, regardless if I plug it back in before it happens, my screen cuts out, shows a small image of one of the tabs or apps I have open, then when my screen comes back a big black rectangle appears in the bottom right of my screen. I have not seen any way to fix this or make it go away without just restarting my computer to temporarily make it go away again until my computer gets unplugged in some way, for whatever reason I've unplugged it. The rectangle gets in the way of practically every game and app I use my computer for, and I'd really like to know if this is happened to anyone else and how to get rid of it.

I've tried other tips for other people who have this issue, but either I've done it wrong or it didn't work.

    Hi Faye,

I'm Christine, a Windows user like you. I can see here that you are seeing a rectangle in the corner of your screen. No worries, I'll do my best to help you.

May I know when did the issue start? Is there any changes made before you got this issue?

Please send the make and model of your device. (Please press Windows key + R and type msinfo32 and hit enter, look for system model)

    1. Let's try to refresh the explorer.exe

    On Windows 11:

Right click on start menu and choose Task Manager

Click Details Tab and end the task of explorer.exe

Then click Run New Task and type explorer.exe and hit enter

    1. Run Hardware troubleshooter

Please press Windows key + R

Paste the command below to the Run box and press Enter:

    msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic

Restart your device and please check if the issue persists

    1. Update or Reinstall the Display driver

Please press the Windows key + X

    Then click Device manager

    Kindly expand the Display Adapters

Right click and choose "Update Driver"

    Select "Search automatically for drivers"

If the issue persists Choose "Browse my computer for driver" instead

and click " Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"

    Choose the older version.

If it will still the same, please uninstall the driver and restart your device.

Please let me know the result. I'll be happy to assist you all the way until it's resolved.

    Thank you,

    Christine L

I don't quite remember when the issue started. It just seemed to have started randomly one day. I hadn't downloaded anything, nor did anything really pop up. I did have it running all night long accidentally, so that might have been a part of the problem? The model is Dell G15 5525. I haven't tried the suggestions yet I just wanted to answer your questions first. I'm gonna try out the suggestions now.

Edit: The second suggestion seems to have worked! Keeping on standby just in case, though.

Edit 2: Nope, the second suggestion failed. I'll try the third and the first one next.
