Dear Microsoft support,

Since last 2 days, my system with WIn10 is not able to start and shows recovery error 0xc00000e9 system registry is missing or contains errors. I tried several times to auto-repair but had no success. Later tried to boot with ISO media, still no success. Currently for last >24 hrs, I am performing alternatives with advance troubleshoot options command prompt with last command to mention 'chkdsk /f /r', in stage 4 which is running for more than 5 hrs and only 3% completed. I am afraid not to spend days to get it through with disappointment at the end. May I ask if you could offer your support to get the things done.

Best regards,

Amruta

    Hi amrutapatil13

If the system restore option is not working for oyu, do any of the other options in the recovery environment work, like, removing the latest update, or booting into Safe Mode... etc.?

If not, do you have a backup of your personal files?

    Hi Amruta

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That check disk is not going to complete, it should not take that length of time to complete.

Since that process is in stage 4, it is safe to stop that process, press and hold the Power Button on the case of your PC for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a hard shut down.

Wait a few seconds and start your PC again, does it boot into Windows normally?

if not, you mention you have tried booting form a USB and that was not successful, what exactly happened when you tried to boot form the USB, what was on the screen?
