KB4532693 and 4244 fix

Hace unos dias el pc se me actualizo con esta última  actualización KB4532693 encendí la comoutadora  y me desaparecieron de la carpeta DOCUMENTOS mis documentos los busque y los encontre en C:usuarios/usuario toshiba/documentos. Observe que me habia cambiado tambien el fondo de pantalla. Cambie mis documentos cortandolos y pegandolos desde C:usuarios/usuario toshiba/documentos.  a: Este equipó/Documentos. mas tarde apague mi computadora y al prenderla vi que me cargo nuevamente mi perfil y con ello mi fondo de pantalla pero desaparecieron mis documentos, investigue y encontre que la actualizacion KB4532693 crea un perfil temporal que se elimina, busque los documentos pero ya no los encontre en ningun lado, elimine la actualización pero no funciono para regresarme mis documentos, instale un recuperador de datos y recupera los documentos pero no puedo abrirlos me dice que estan dañados (la mayoria de ellos son docuemtos de word, power point y pdf)

He buscado en carpetas sugeridas como  C:/Users/<Username>.000Directory, pero nada.

Y entonces que pasa si como explico ya los movi pues no sabia que era un perfil temporal lo que se habia cargado y mucho menos que se iba a eliminar... Me puedo despedir de mis documentos?

Sumit") i got exacly this same problem and this is bigger problem than You think.

I use Acronis for backup and got system with this KB and i take a look on this problem closer and i know exacly what is wrong :-)

In my case after install this KB and run Microsoft Store and click to update application, proces "Windows Update" delete ALL files from disk C:. He remove completly everything. I can`t run most of application because not exist like Winrar, Total commander and all other - directory with all application files is deleted. The most funny i am unable to uninstall this KB :-) there is no option :-)

I find a little workaround after boot system i run services.msc and stop Windows Update service and set to disable. After this everthing back to normal and for now i got this KB and my files from my disk is still exist :-))

But i got big one question for me take me 2 hours to find where is problem - why Microsoft working on this case so long...  ;-)

I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 3 year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

The immediate fix is to uninstall the update and block the same for 7 days. Microsoft is currently investigating the temporary profile bug.

After uninstalling the update you should see your files and data back. See the GIF.

Background on this: The update messes up your user profile and can't log you in. It then opens a temporary account for you.

I uninstalled the updates Friday night. I have rebooted several times. I do not see my files.

I thought I paused my updates and yet KB4534132 and KB4532693 were installed on 02/15/20. I will uninstall 2693 now.

Is it possible to locate my files on my hard drive?
