I used this title as this question/title isn't new. However, the last thread showed 334 other people with same question...yet no answer.

Been using Outlook for Mac for years. Randomly it will no longer open & is attempting to Rapir the main profile. Although it says it needs more space, I have plenty of space AND this was also documented with other people's commenting they had plenty of space. I could not simply pull a new version from Time Machine. I also deleted my Outlook app & attempted to download Outlook from the Time Machine after that. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

    Dear Brian Fi ,

    Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you!

    According to your description, if your current Outlook profile has been corrupted. We recommend you may exist Outlook for Mac firstly and try to use Time Machine to backup your Outlook items as described in this article: Automatically archive or back up Outlook for Mac items.

    Then you may refer to the steps in this article: Manage profiles or identities in Outlook for Mac to rebuild a new Outlook profile and add your account to the new profile to see if it works. If so, you may try to restore **** your data from Time Machine.

    Note: please do not delete the old profile.

    In addition, please kindly refer to: When opening Outlook for Mac user experiences Repairing Mail Profile message which never completes;

    2. Navigate to Applications
    3. Right click Microsoft Outlook and click Show Package Contents
    4. Navigate to Contents > Shared Support and open Outlook Profile Manager
    5. Add a new profile and make it default
    6. Now open Outlook and re-add the required accounts.

    If your problem persists, please let me know and I will be happy to continue to help you.

    I saw this answer copied/pasted from other strings in here with the same question. There were people that commented it didn't work and I will confirm their comments- this solution doesn't work. Since no one seems to have an answer, it was easier to just start from scratch after reading all the frustrated comments from people with this same issue. No further follow-up needed at this point with me, but this remains an issue overall with your product. Thank You
