Teams didnt let host join

I was the host of a teams meeting and sent an invitation from my outlook calendar, and at the meeting time hit the link to join, and after I pressed 'join' it gave me the page as if I were a guest i.e. "When the meeting starts we will let people know you are waiting" so me and my colleague both had the same screen and I couldn't let him join the meeting. Im worried because I'm hosting another big meeting tomorrow and can't afford to mess it up!

Hello George

I am V. Arya, Independent Advisor, to work with you. This issue happens when your Outlook client and Teams client are using different account. Can you make sure that Outlook is using the same account which you are using in Teams client? But some people have reported that sometime this doesn't work.

Another work around is to go to your Teams client and join the meeting from there.

I have the same issue. I am using two Exchange mail accounts. I create a meeting from Outlook, checking first that I am logged into Teams with the same account, and it still thinks I am a guest every time. Getting really a bit fed up with it. What is the data that is used to identify the host of the meeting so I know what to do to get it correct?

My Office account and Teams account are both signed in on the same account, but I face the same problems - unable to join meeting as the Organiser - it just thinks that I am a guest and won't allow the meeting to start.

I have signed out of Teams and back in again, but I still get the same issue.  The only way that I can currently create and join Teams meetings as an organiser is via OWA.  Do you have any further suggestions please?
