Why must I have "unsecure apps" ENABLED in order to use Outlook for my emails that run through Google? Is Microsoft ever going to fix this issue?

    Hi ProgramTechnologyLLC,

I don't work for Microsoft, so I could be wrong, but I don't believe they will change anything more than they have: which is to ask for the second authentication rather than requiring an app password.

If you don't want to use 'allow less secure apps', you'll need to enable 2-step verification on the account. 2-step is more secure and is highly recommended.
