Hello, Jezelia
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
Thank you for your feedback. Based on your description, your issue is most likely a hardware issue. Also, you mentioned that the keyboard doesn't work over a wired connection, which may require some additional troubleshooting steps. Here are some troubleshooting options:
- Bluetooth connection issue
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and Other Devices.
Check that Bluetooth is turned on and make sure your laptop is set to discoverable.
Reboot to start the Bluetooth service
Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box, type services.msc and press Enter.
Locate “Bluetooth Support Service”, right-click and select “Restart”.
Make sure the startup type is set to “Automatic”.
Update Bluetooth Driver
Open “Device Manager” (Win + X > Device Manager).
Expand the “Bluetooth” list, find your Bluetooth adapter, right-click and select “Update Driver”.
Select “Automatically search for drivers”.
Remove and re-pair your device
In Settings > Bluetooth and Other Devices, find your Discord keyboard and select Remove Device.
Then, re-pair the device.
Running Bluetooth Troubleshooting
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshooting > Other Troubleshooting.
Find Bluetooth and run the troubleshooting tool.
- Wired Connection Problems
Check the USB port and cable
Try using a different USB port.
Make sure the USB cable is intact and try testing the cable with another device.
Update the USB controller driver
Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
Expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers list.
Right-click on each USB controller, select “Update Driver” and choose “Automatically search for drivers”.
Check the keyboard device driver
Connect the keyboard to the computer and open the Device Manager.
Check if the keyboard is shown in the “Keyboard” list or if it is shown as “Unknown Device”.
If it is an “Unknown Device”, right click and select “Update Driver”.
Testing the keyboard
Try connecting the keyboard to another computer or device to check if it is working properly.
If the keyboard doesn't work on other devices, it may be a problem with the keyboard itself.
If none of the above steps solve the problem, it is recommended to contact Discord Keyboard's Customer Support for professional help, especially if the hardware itself may be faulty.
I look forward to your feedback, which will help me pinpoint your problem!
Best Regards,
