    Hi,

    1.      Were there any changes made to your computer before the issue occurred?

    2.      When exactly do you get this error message?

I would suggest you to follow few troubleshooting steps from the article below and check if that help you in fixing the issue on your computer.

    Method:

    Step 1:

How to troubleshoot problems when you install or uninstall programs on a Windows-based computer

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651

    Step 2:

Put the computer in clean boot and test

Follow Step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works fine after a clean boot, you can infer that some third party services are causing the problem.

Proceed with the remaining steps to pin-point out the third party service. After you figure out the problem causing program, you may have to update or install a higher version of the program, if you seldom use that software you can consider uninstalling it.

Important: - Remember to put the computer back to normal startup follow step 7 in the link.

Please provide us with additional information. So that we can help you fix the problem on your computer.

    Hope this information helps you.

I have had this same problem as well. here is what I think happened. I recently got a virus warning from Avast anti-virus in reguards to a file that had to do with my HP4135 all-in-one printer/scanner. So I hit the delete key. I figured that the file has somehow become corrupted or under more modern scrutiny is a security snafu. Well, I started getting the same error as you. Maybe not the SAME error, but it is ver very similar. the place is it looking for the file seems to be different. my printer is quite old. I got it christmas 2007. maybe its the HP solution center you need to fix, and not Microsoft. maybe because "windows" is searching for solution center, you think its a Microsoft product.

hope this helps. it all still works except the HP solution center, which is so out of date, and probably unsupported now, that is never updates and when it looks for a new update (constantly) it makes you PC vulnerable to hacks.

you probably have to reinstall the HP product you have if you have a HP product.

    goodluck

    that's it.

I got help from a guru in the Florida Realtor Support office. Turns out, it has nothing to do with the network. I had installed Google Chrome and accidentally accepted its toolbar. Then I removed Google Chrome from my system and it left stuff in my registry. It might've become my default browser or something else. But the bottom line is that the guru had to edit my registry to take defaults instead of point to Google Chrome.

Possibly he knew about this because Google Chrome figured out their problem (not cleaning up properly >>???)

It is a good example of how the best attempts at reporting errors can still fall quite short of describing the situation properly.

I have Solution Center coming up shortly after startup, saying the same thing, but the installation package 'SolutionCenter.msi' is being looked for in

    C:\Users\Phyll\AppData\Local\Temp\7zSD138.tmp\setup\SolutionCenter\

Apparently the file is no longer there ? Is there an explanation for this ?

In my humble opinion this seems like a bug where the explanation is not really appropriate. The Solution Center program (I believe) tries to diagnose failures by accessing a network database.

Has the database gone away or moved ? Maybe I have an older version that is out of sync with the current location ?

Very curious on this as it started happening several months ago, but seems to be happening more often lately...
