I've been having issues with my laptop suddenly thinking it doesn't support bluetooth. I've tried all the options I can find including running the troubleshooter, telling device manager to show hidden items, downloading and installing the latest drivers from the laptop manufacturer's website, and more. It seems if I can get bluetooth to show up in the device manager I'll be able to uninstall it, restart the laptop, and it should reinstall bluetooth upon booting back up. But I cannot get bluetooth to show up in the device manager. I don't want to accept that bluetooth simply doesn't work on my laptop any more and resort to buying an external bluetooth adapter, but it's looking like that's my only option right now. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Harperlarp
My name is Elizabeth. I will be happy to help you today.
Taking into account all the actions that you have carried out to recover the Bluetooth, and knowing that recently everything was working correctly, I can suggest that you try to go back to a previous restore point.

I already tried the methods in that video, thanks anyway.
On your advice I went back to a previous restore point but I didn't have one from before the issue occurred so it didn't fix the issue.
Hello, I’m Virginia an independent advisor with 20 years of expertise in fixing my own & friends’ PC problems.
Which Windows 10 build are you running - 1903, 1909, 2004 or 20H2 (Oct 2020)?
When you chose system restore was there an option to load older restore points?
If Bluetooth doesn’t appear under device manager then check further under View>Show hidden devices - if it is listed there then you should be able to uninstall or update the driver.
If your Bluetooth is disabled then do the following to enable it.
Uninstall the device from device manager and restart bluetooth service.
Start > services.msc
Right-click "Bluetooth Support Service."
Choose Automatic.
Go to device manager and right-click on your computer name and click "Scan for hardware changes"
Install the bluetooth device drivers from the manufacturer's website, if any.
I hope this helps.
