Windows 11 high preformance power plan

Edit:

Problem Number 1 Had been solved:

All you need to do is to run this command in CMD admin mode - Note: you might need to restart your system in order for the changes to take effect:

"

REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\19cbb8fa-5279-450e-9fac-8a3d5fedd0c1\12bbebe6-58d6-4636-95bb-3217ef867c1a /v Attributes /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f

"

This solution was taken from here - Thanks for Shawn Brink help! https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/73119-add-remove-wireless-adapter-settings-power-options-windows-10-a.html

Edit 2:

Possible Solution to problem 2 and also might be a solution to problem 1 as well:

I have found this CMD command that will enable you to create/select High-Performance mode power plan, and will allow you to have better control on the advanced power management settings (it added Intel HD graphics control for me and some more options)

Run this in CMD admin mode and restart your system in order for the changes to take effect:

"

reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power /v PlatformAoAcOverride /t REG_DWORD /d 0

"

after the PC has rebooted go to Control Panel -> Hardware and sound -> Choose Power Plan

and then press on Show more power plans or press on creating a new power plan. In either case, you will be able to choose the high-performance mode.

one more note:

After applying this solution, it will also allow you to go to your WIFI driver in the device manager, and it will unhide the "power management" tab.

Thanks for the help guys - Shawn Brink & Greg Carmack

Have a great day.

Hello there,

I'm using an ASUS ZenBook 15 UX534FTC Laptop, with Windows 11 Home 21H2 Build 22000.438.

Problem Number 1:

I wish to change my Power Plan from "Balanced" to "High performance" but when I go to Control Panel -> Hardware and sound -> and then click on "Choose power plan", I don't see any other option other than "Balanced"

Problem Number 2:

Furthermore, I want to change the advanced power setting on a plan, specifically the WiFi adapter power settings so I go to "Change plan settings" and then "Change advance power settings" I don't see any Wireless Adapter Settings (there is only hard drive, desktop background, sleep PCI Express, CPU power management, Display, and battery).

I must say that I have installed all of the available windows updates and that I have the latest WiFi driver from ASUS.

I must say that on Windows 10 Home that option was available and I have used it to improve my performance.

Due to the feature missing from my windows 11 I'm suffering from various wifi problems and I need help with how to make that feature be available again.

Here is a picture that shows what I need to be enabled on my laptop.

I have no idea why those settings are hidden but it's really annoying.

    Hello Yuval,

If you PC supports Modern Standby, then you will only have the Balanced power plan available.

    https://www.elevenforum.com/t/check-if-modern-standby-is-supported-in-windows-11.3262/

If this is the case, then you can change the Power Mode to Best performance instead for essentially the same.

    https://www.elevenforum.com/t/change-power-mode-in-windows-11.1442/

You should be able to use the same method in the tutorial below to add Wireless Adapter Settings to Power Options.

Yes, I understand, but High Performance Plan is hidden in Windows 11.

Try these other fixes to restore High Performance plan in Windows 11:

    First try Option Two here:

    Hello Shawn,

Thank you for the fast response.

I can confirm that running this CMD command in Admin mode had restored the wireless adapter setting in the advance power settings.

    REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\19cbb8fa-5279-450e-9fac-8a3d5fedd0c1\12bbebe6-58d6-4636-95bb-3217ef867c1a /v Attributes /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f

that command was taken from your link. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/73119-add-remove-wireless-adapter-settings-power-options-windows-10-a.html

By the way, do know about a command that will allow me to "see" all of the available but hidden options in the advanced power settings?

If yes, that would be great if you would be able to share it with me.

If not, Do you know about a command that will allow me to "see" the Intel Graphics advanced power settings?

    Thank You Very much.
