windows explorer doesn't show ogg metadata

I've ripped my CD's to OGG (Vorbis) files, and the proper metadata is included with them (or at least is shown in Winamp and iTunes).

But in Windows explorer, when I look at detailed list of files, the album/artist/etc info does not show, fields are all empty. When right-clicking on files and selecting 'properties', it shows only details about the file (like folder path, last updated) but has no fields at all (not even empty fields) for music-related info.

How can I get these fields, similar like ID3v2 tags for MP3 files, to show for OGG Vorbis files??

Thank you.

    Hi Suzuki650,

Unfortunately, there is no such feature present in Windows to show ogg metadata, you need to have any third party program to make this enabled on your computer, to do that you need to use your favorite search engine and search the internet for the third party program which incorporates this feature.

In addition to what others have said, try Icaros and Media Preview. You can change settings in these applications so you can customize which files will or will not show details and their thumbnails in Explorer.

was searchin for something as well, cause had the same problem with flac...

    found this:

    TagLibHandler

I realy cant get it why MS doesnt implement the metadata feature for all formats...

Is there any licence question for just showing metadata for media files?!

Because its pretty anoying for searchin 3party apps for this kind of regular stuff.

BTW: I use Win8.1 - maybe it will be implemented in Win8.1u1? ;)
