Changing your password depends on the account that you are using. If you are using a local account, you may follow these steps to change your password:
- Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and then click Change a password.
- Type your old password followed by a new password as indicated, and then type the new password again to confirm it.
- Press Enter.
Note: If you are logged on as an administrator, you can create and change passwords for all user accounts on the computer.
If you are using a Microsoft account, you may follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Microsoft account, and then select Security.
- Select Change password
- Enter your current password, then the new password you want, and then enter the new password again.
- Select Save.
