    Hi Amaury,

It shouldn't take that long. Maybe you can reset Windows Updates and try again:

    https://www.elevenforum.com/t/reset-windows-upd...

I hope startcomponentcleanup has been run already.

If nothing helps, launch Settings > System > Recovery. Under "Fix problems using Windows Update", select "Reinstall now."

    Hi Amaury,

I think the best option now would be to run the "Reinstall now" option in Settings.

    Note:

The March update seems to be problematic on many systems:

However, since it includes security improvements, I'm hesitant to suggest users to block the update using WUShowhide.diagcab tool.

    Hi Amaury,

What happens when you install the update via Windows Update? Does it rollback silently without an error? If an error code is shown, please post them here.

Note that if the error 0x800f0838 occurs when attempting to use the offline installer, it means the prerequisite update is not installed.

Here are the offline installation instructions.

    Download these two .msu packages:

    https://catalog.sf.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com...

    https://catalog.sf.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com...

Save them to the C:\Packages folder (which needs to be created).

Open the admin Command Prompt and run:

    DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:c:\packages\windows11.0-kb5053598-x64_6cb3ffc5c4d652793dc71705248426eecdacdfd0.msu

    Restart Windows when prompted.

    Hi Amaury,

0x800f081f means source files are missing. Let's inspect the CBS logs.

Please upload your CBS logs to OneDrive and share the link here. To collect the CBS logs, open admin PowerShell and run:

    Compress-Archive C:\Windows\Logs\CBS -f (join-path ([environment]::GetFolderPath('Desktop')) \CBS.zip)

This creates a file named CBS.zip on your desktop.

Share it on OneDrive or any file-sharing service, and post the link here.

    Note:

If you don't want to troubleshoot this, you can repair install Windows via Settings.

Launch Settings > System > Recovery. Under "Fix problems using Windows Update", select "Reinstall now."

This does a repair installation, keeping your files, apps, and settings.
