I have tryed many things such as messing with my firewall to trying to create ports and allowing less protection on different sites.  No matter what I do I seem to always get Disconnected from the internet EVERY time I try to upload something to the internet on my computer with Windows 7.  I try to upload a video on youtube and I get Disconnected, I try to upload a photo on photobucket or kodak gallory and I get disconnected before anything is uploaded.  I get disconnected whilie downloading updates to an online game.  I know it is not my internet because I can get onto my fiance's computer and upload things and download updates so it must be my windows.  Someone help please, I have been dealing with this since I got Windows 7.

    Hi Elliehanna,

    a.     Does this issue occur in any other browser as well?

Check if the issue persists in Safe Mode with Networking.

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not run in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Safe Mode with Networking starts Windows in safe mode and includes the network drivers and services needed to access the Internet or other computers on your network.

Refer this link to boot into Safe Mode with Networking:

Start your computer in safe mode**http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode**

Advanced startup options (including safe mode)**http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode**

Also update the drivers for the Network card.

Still the same, then go ahead and try these steps:

There is a built in Troubleshooter in Windows 7 Operating which will fix most of the issues.

    Windows 7 – Troubleshooters

Method 1: To run Internet Explorer Troubleshooter, follow these steps:

    1.    Close all programs.

    2.    Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

    3.    Under System and Security, click Find and fix problems.

    4.    On the task pane on the left, click View All.

    5.    Click Internet Explorer Performance. This opens a new window.

    6.    Click Next.

    7.    The troubleshooter will run and fix all identified issues automatically. Click Close.

After the troubleshooter has successfully run, try to browse to the Internet again and check.

Method 2: Clear cached data in Internet Explorer

To determine whether a performance issue or an error message is caused by corruption in the temporary Internet files or in other cached information that is used by Internet Explorer, you must clear cached data. To do this, follow these steps.

    1.      Open Internet Explorer 8.

    2.      Click Safety, and then click Delete Browsing History.

    3.      In Delete Browsing History area, click Delete.

Method 3: Reset security settings for Internet Explorer

If you configure security settings to be too restrictive, you may prevent Internet Explorer from displaying certain Web sites. To determine whether an issue is caused by overly restrictive security settings, revert to default security settings. To do this, follow these steps:

    1.      Open Internet Explorer.

    2.      Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.

    3.      Click the Security tab.

    4.      Click Reset all zones to default level, and then click OK.

Method 4: Run Internet Explorer in "No Add-Ons" mode

You can try Internet Explorer without Add-ons. Follow the steps mentioned below.

Step1: Run Internet Explorer in "No Add-Ons" mode

    1.      Click Start, and then type Internet Explorer in the Start Search box.

    2.      Click Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons). Internet Explorer opens without add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.

    3.      Test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly. If it works then you can disable add-ons (follow step 2).

Step 2: Use the Manage Add-ons tool to determine which add-on is causing the issue

    1.      Open Internet Explorer 8.

    2.      Click Tools, and then click Manage Add-ons.

    3.      On the Show drop-down menu, select All add-ons to display all add-ons that are installed on the computer.

    4.      For each item in this list, select the add-on, and then click Disable in the Information window.

    5.      When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.

    6.      Exit and then restart Internet Explorer.

    7.      If issues do not reoccur, repeat steps 1 through 3.

    8.      Click Enable for a single add-on.

    9.      Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors to occur.

For more information about add-ons refer the article mentioned below.

Method 5: You can also try to reset the Internet Explorer.

    Follow the steps mentioned below.

Disclaimer: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature.

    To reset Internet Explorer automatically,

    1.      Click the Fix this problem link in the article mentioned below.

    2.      Then click Run in the File Download dialog box and follow the steps in this wizard.

Note This wizard may be in English only however, the automatic fix also works for other language versions of Windows.

Same issue here. The reason for it is new network drivers.

Control Panel > Network Connections > Local Area Connection > Properties > Configure > Driver > Roll back driver.

I thought that my drivers were too old, so I have tried to downloaded the new ones, but it said that mine is up to date, so I did vice versa. Rolled back to old ones and "century of disconnection was gone".

    Hope it helps.

    Sorry for my english
