Original title: up time bug

Hi there,

Bug report for Up time.

When I check my up time on task manager, It displays wrongly. I also figured out that it wont return 0 on Shutdown it only returns on System restart.

Sorry that's all I can tell.

Sorry for my language.

Thanks,

Khiel

    Hi Vikrant,

I am using Windows 8 Pro on my HP Dv6 Laptop. I have noticed a bug on my PC, whenever I turn on my PC the "Up time" in the task manager is showing high, which eventually does not allow the PC to shutdown properly.  I have contacted Microsoft regarding this issue, the Microsoft guy informed me that it’s an "In-build shutdown hibernation technique" introduced in Windows 8 which is causing the problem. So, when I shutting down my PC using the 'CHARMS' (standard procedure to shut down a PC in windows) the Up time is high. But when I shut down the PC using command prompt the up time is low.

    Regards,

    Abhi

You can most likely get uptime even with fast boot by double clicking your network connection icon.   Shows status assuming your network connection works.

You are truly correct. Windows 8 in mainly known for its fastest boot time. anyone using a windows 8 pc would not like to reduce its boot time for such a tiny measurement which is also not required to anyone.
